I followed somewhat of the same food schedule as yesterday with potatoes for breakfast again as a last hurrah. They were delicious, and I will miss them.
I then mapped out a Target that sold an organic king sheet set in grey and a Bed, Bath, and Beyond for some natural bristle body brushes. Satisfied I could find both in Colerain Township, I set off armed with a full bottle of carrot-apple juice (made with all nine varieties of apples: granny smith, fuji, braeburn, ambrosia, cameo, red delicious, golden delicious, autumn greeting, and pink lady).
Body brushes all set for tomorrow
My mom's cousin Cindy recently informed us about the benefits of body brushing, which include exfoliation and increased circulation. Tomorrow before my shower I will try some body brushing, starting at my extremities and always brushing toward my heart. Small studies have also claimed the brushing helps the body be rid of toxins; at this point, I'll take all the help I can get.
Dinner was a new green juice. My mom was researching online and stumbled across an on-the-go solution for green juices from Food Matters: a powdered raw, organic combination of wheat grass, barley grass, alfalfa grass, spirulina, chlorella, mesquite, vanilla, and cinnamon that you can add to water to reconstitute. She looked at the ingredient list and thought we could add vanilla and cinnamon to our green juices, too! We also ordered a 60 juice supply so that when we're out and about we won't have to worry about having fresh juice with us if we are hungry.
Hurray for flavorings!
Upon taking my first drink, my conclusion was the juice was not terrible. The cinnamon tended to sink towards the bottom of the bottle, so the last few sips burned my mouth a little. Overall, though, this green juice was palatable and not so mean.
Tomorrow starts the juice fast; wish me luck!
Notes for the future:
- hoping the muggy, 80 degree weather goes away soon, so that I can exercise outside
- adjust the cinnamon levels in the green juice; possibly add some nutmeg

The green juice was amazeballs! Bring on the fast!
