I got off to a late start (due to the fact I stayed up late watching videos of Charo) but still had an eventful day.
To mix things up, breakfast was a green citrus juice, comprising of 2 apples, 2 oranges, 6 handfuls of mixed greens, a dash of nutmeg, a dash of cinnamon, and some vanilla. The combination was even better than yesterday's green juice, and I think we'll fall into the routine of having a green juice for breakfast after our "tea" every morning.
I was able to drink this without the help of a water bottle!
For lunch on the road, my mom made up a few carrot-apple juices in handy water bottles, which were delicious as always. While out and about, we visited Jungle Jim's (pictures in the next post), Costco (where I got some new down pillows), and Kroger (for some cheaper organic raspberries for juicing and chocolate chips for a Father's Day treat for my dad's road trip to Michigan).
We finally committed to a 15 lb bag since they were on sale
Once home, I was starved and craving solid food, so I decided to experiment with a new juice of my own devising. I juiced six ounces of raspberries and four apples then mixed in about a half cup of raw cacao powder and a few good squirts of raw agave. The result is the most delicious juice I have ever drank.
The masterpiece
The concoction is so rich and satisfying, I still have some to drink. The juice fast is going to be easy if I make one of these every night!
Overall, the first day was pretty easy aside from being sorely tempted in the stores and around all of the fast food. I just have to keep reminding myself that the bad foods are death.
Notes for the future:
- path to success: green juice for breakfast, chocolate-raspberry for dinner
- once I've lost some weight, I'll need to do some serious strength training
Stay tuned for a post filled with pictures from Jungle Jim's!

The masterpiece was indeed! We'll definitely be making a habit of this. Thanks for the creation!
